    The distance from the center line of the path of totality matters less than you might think. If we are 25% of the distance from the center line to the edge, the total eclipse time is reduced by only 3%. Even if we are 50% of the distance from the center line to the edge, total eclipse time is reduced by about 13%. so we don't need to worry too much about sitting exactly on the center line of totality.
