That depends on the list server setup, more than on your email client. Most of the list servers change the address fields on the emails they send out, which is technically "correct". The email from the list server will appear to arrive "from" the list, with the REPLY-TO field also showing the list, not the original sender. In that case a simple REPLY from any email client will post a reply to the list. A few lists may be misconfigured so they do no update the REPLYTO field. If they leave the original sender's email address, that's when you'd need to use the REPLY ALL choice. The confusion gets worse because if you hit REPLY ALL, the recipient may think you are sending private email--not list mail--and then reply to you off list, breaking the list conversation.
