Keeping up with the grind
What 'navigational' issues I am working on now....
1.) I'm growing dinoflagellates in my basement to try to play with one of the David Lewis stories about 'underwater lightning'. I have a conjecture of what this might be, and I'm on a long path to testing it out.
2.) I'm looking at the history and proliferation of 'wind compasses' in various cultures.
3.) I'm trying to find references to using eclipses to find longitude prior to Columbus. Any examples out there?
