Sadly, no, you cannot buy a new taffrail log anymore. Walker, the last and largest of the manufacturers, closed about 15 years ago.
The sail training ships I work on still make use of them, but we are reduced to hunting ebay for the occasional replacements, which continue to get more expensive and harder to find.
