My main point was that the NA arrives aboard ship by way of the regular postal service and fleet post office, whether the ship is at sea or not. When I went to sea we regularly received snail mail at sea. Not sure whether your ship receives snail mail at sea in this century. My estimation of the USNO NA publishing schedule was incorrect. > Scott continued: > "I could give you the technical details on how email at sea works but I am > disinclined to do so." > > Satellites are wonderful things. My disinclination to discuss technical details of email on the list stems from the fact that it doesn't have much to do with the stated purpose of the list. However, I'm now going to make an exception. Does your AOL 9.1 email software have a "reply to" button/function? More importantly, do you use it or do you compose new email and copy/paste/edit when replying to the list? -Scott --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To unsubscribe, email NavList-unsubscribe@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
