    A sextant is cooler than...

    A sextant is cooler than an iPh0ne.
    Well... so says Phillipe Kahn, at least. :-)
    Here's the article:
    The exact quote from Phillipe is "I tell you, at a party with smart
    hip people, you get more attention with a sextant than you got
    attention with an iPh0ne a month ago." He has more to say about the
    allure of celestial navigation in the article. Of course, this is
    after describing all the electronics on his yacht.
    For those of you who remember the world of computing in the 1980s,
    Philippe Kahn was the founder of Borland International, the company
    that created "Turbo Pascal" and "Sidekick". Remember Sidekick?
    Sidekick was a TSR program that allowed the first little bit of multi-
    tasking on PCs running DOS. TSR... now there's an acronym I haven't
    thought about in a while... Philipe Kahn is also the inventor of the
    camera phone (or so goes the legend).
    By the way, this quote about the coolness factor for sextants is worth
    repeating over and over again. At minimum, it will help sell sextants.
    PS: I have masked the spelling of iPh0ne (0 --> o) because I suspect
    that the correct spelling would be powerful spambait.
