For a bunch of interesting astronomy and navigation books, check out: http://www.willbell.com/ or call 1-800-825-STAR I've ordered many of the Meeus titles from them directly. Unfortunately this morning I was not able to get on this site; I hope it isn't gone... With the possible exception of Seidelmann, all are presumably now out-of-print. ------------------ Astronomical. Charles H. Cotter, "A History of Nautical Astronomy", American Elsevier Publishing Company, Inc., 52 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, New York, 10017. 1968. J. Meeus, Astronomical Algorithms, Willmann-Bell, about 1991. Nautical Almanac, any year prior to 1905 or so (when the tables of Lunar Distances were dropped). P. Kenneth Seidelmann, "Explanatory Supplement to the Astronomical Almanac", ISBN 0-935702-68-7. Nautical.(fiction) C.S.Forester, "Hornblower and the Crisis", a book referred to in Forester's "Hornblower Companion", but which I have never come across. Is it an alternative title, perhaps for an American edition? Does it exist at all?. __________ Can anyone recommend a secondhand bookseller who specialises in astronomy or nautical astronomy? I'm based in the UK, but am prepared to look further afield?
