I bet that some of us can come up with a place that is in the middle. So everybody meets everybody half way. It would be interesting if this place was somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. A rare event? In the small village of Hanney, in Oxfordshire, England, three regular contributors to Nav-L happened to meet up this evening in a village hall, at the monthly meeting of the Hanney Astronomical Society. They were Aubrey O'Callaghan, Clive Sutherland, and George Huxtable. This meeting wasn't entirely by accident, so it wouldn't be fair to calculate the statistical unlikelihood of its occurrence. Still, in view of the nature of the Nav-L mailing list, and the wide dispersion of its members, it must be unusual for three of them to end up in the same place at the same time. It seemed to me to be worth putting on record that it had happened.
