    Re: problems with artifical horizons

    Gary, Randall, Alex:

Thank you all for your thoughts, and suggestions, will try utilizing them when next I break out my AH's.

    Randall:

You might have a point re the accuracy/lack thereof, respecting my leveling of mirror assembly. I'm trying to play this game, artificial horizon sights "on the cheap" which might in the end lead to problems, considering the relatively poor accuracy of string levels. One get's, if they are lucky, what one pays for. I do wonder as to how critical leveling is for a sun shot, on a bright, clear afternoon?

Gary and Alex: Presetting the sextant works respecting other sights, so why would it not help here. It likely would, so I will give it a try.

    Thanks to all.

    Alan
