    I couldn't read your attachment, but you definitely need to consider north-south vessel movement and declination change.

    Today I took a series of sunsights to determine the meridian passage of the sun and then worked out the lat and long from this.  My work is attached.  If anyone was interested in checking it out and letting me know if I went wrong anywere, I would appreciate it.
