    What do you consider "serious navigation?" A lifeboat sextant will get
    you within piloting range of mid-ocean island groups, like Bermuda or
    the Azores. A C.Plath won't get you into a fog-bound harbor.
    The errors on my Kelvin and Hughes are:
    30 deg                  +10"
    60 deg          +10"
    90 deg              0"
    120 deg         -30"
    These are small compared to the errors from the motion of a small boat,
    36 feet in my case. If you are taking sights o an aircraft carrier they
    might be taken into acount.
