Hello John.
Sorry for the delay in replying to your questions. Just to clarify, you sent your message as a personal email to the main NavList posting address. If you want to email me directly, please email FrankReed@HistoricalAtlas.com. When you're ready to send an email to the group, then you should send to NavList@fer3.com. :-)

Welcome aboard! It's always nice when a lurker un-lurks!

"The posting that particularly caught my attention, however, was "LOP by Sextant Box shadow" and your very detailed reply. This was posted in July 2008. For the past 15 years I have been experimenting with shadow nav from my back yard and after much trial and error I think I may have found the solution to the levelling problem.
I would like to post details on Nav List but having seen all you warnings about large files etc I am a bit hesitant on how to proceed. Can I send my posting to this email address? The email consists of text 22kb and 5 jpegs each averaging about 70kbs. Can all this be sent in the one message?"
Sounds interesting. Yes, you can go ahead and send that as email with the attachments you describe. Or if you would like to try, you can post your messsage and upload your jpegs from the online message boards at fer3.com/arc and then LINK the files instead of attaching them. They will then be available just as readily to NavList readers without necessarily bloating their email inboxes. But it's up to you. Either way really is just fine. Let me know if you have any other questions.
