In an earlier message sent today under this threadname, I referred to a point that had been made by Trevor Kenchington, as follows- >He is also correct to point out that a vessel departing from any latitude >(not just the Equator) with a rhumb-line course of 0 degrees will never >reach either pole. That should have read- "He is also correct to point out that a vessel departing from any latitude (not just the Equator) with a rhumb-line course of 90 degrees will never reach either pole."
