I'm afraid that my copy of Skunk Works has been passed on. SR 71 navigation was discussed in the book also. I think you will find the book more than interesting.

Thanks, I will probably read it (though aviation is only my secondary
interest). But if you already read it, could you tell where in this book
they discuss navigation, and especially sight reduction in U-2?
I tried "navigation" and "reduction" word search, and it does not bring
anything directly related to the question.
