On second thought, I think the actual epoch at which the coordinates are valid is more important than the intended epoch. Therefore, if a more accurate (compared to MICA 2.0) star catalog or precession / nutation model is available, it should be used to determine the epoch. I have always felt comfortable using the same star data for three days, and never felt any need to look into this matter. So I don't know if MICA 2.0 would give a result significantly different from more modern algorithms. --
