Byron: John, My base is of card board, the web for AZ & HT. can be repined
By eye to any Lat and changed for any new Lat (up or down) & can be interpolate between any Lat if you know exactly where you are. The base disk (N) Pole and horizon disk is held together by a thumb tack like pin with a catch on top to easily readjust so the LAT is where you are!
The meridian/Long though the web points to the observer Long. Your sky horizon can be taped to not move or moved if you move. The sky horizon disk can be free to move to any position you desire. The 1st point of Aries, points to GMT on the base and can be read off the degrees on the base disk.
You can move the stars, planets, bodies, Sun to a desired position
If you subtracted the Month/day GMT that you first set up the device, you have the GMT of any occurrences, Body rise, set, LAN any sky position.
See you tube for the many advanages, under "navtec333 and navtec3331".
