After his return to England, Bligh was less than candid about a few details. He had a Ramsden sextant and Mr Fryer a sextant. They also had a watch and a copy of Moore's Practical Navigator.

I do seem to remember reading that Bligh had an octant, no charts, and no watch. He had memorized important latitudes which allowed for latitude sailing.
