read and nothing so far this year and very little during the last weeks of '

Is there any interest in data from the cross-country trek we took in Nov.?
I'm only going to post it if someone is interested.
Got back from a training exercise on the 30th and had more of a realistic
training program than planned for. Some heavy-duty storms rolled over us
while underway and really made the training have an edge to it.Great for the
students to experiance(they thought we had it planned/under control)but
terrifying for us that knew better.
One of our fires during a night time firefighting exercise got away from
us.Strong winds shifted while the vessel was rigged as NUC(no
manouverability)and before we were ready the fire really took off because of
the extra oxygen feeding the flames in the compartment. They got a good taste
of a what a real threatening situation feels like and how to act/react to
it.For that matter so did the rest of us.And we don't even charge extra for
the realism.
I only bring it up as a reminder that even when one thinks and/or plans some
activity on the big ponds of the world it can go to hell-in-a-handbasket at
the worst of times over the most trivial of events.
