The coast of Cornwall near that RAF airfield runs north-south. This is on the Bristol Channel side, facing Ireland and Wales. So if the aircraft is flying northeast on an early afternoon in late Spring or early Summer, I think it makes general sense. The Sun is behind the pilot's right shoulder.
It's probably somewhere on the coast of Cornwall. But where?? I can't match roads and valleys on the ground in the photo with modern imagery. There's been over a half century of growth so I expect the towns and villages have expanded, but I would expect other features to be recognizable.
