Weems - US Naval Inst. May 1927 - Rust's Azimuth Diagram
    From: Guus Dekker

    Hi.

After YEARS I am back again to NavList !!! ALWAYS (virtual) flying in my FS9.1 in " The Golden Age"  of Aviation. (1927 - 1965) refurbishing my Flight Sim Complete to Tom Gibson's " CalClassic" !!!

Electra L10E, DC-3, DC-4, Bubble Sextant, Drift meter and late at night making my " pen and paper work" exercises from all kinds of trips like my favorite " Silicon Sea"  and the book " a Cel Nav from " the Azores to bermuda"  by ship.

Recently I downloaded " The Line of Position Book"  by Ltn. PVH Weems 1929. Very interresting, BUT the " Rust's Modified Azimuth Diagram" pages are not ok. Also the important page 40 is missing that deals about  measurements about North- and South Pole near the " Prime Vertical".

Also the detailed description of this method, reference in the magazine "US Naval Institute Proceedings for May 1927" . (Found it on the I-net for $119 ;-/ ) Does somebody have a copy for me for all forgoing mention items ... (4 Free ;-) )

    Regards,

    Guus dekker
