    A Weems and Plath is a relabeled German sextant.  Some are Cassens &
    Plath sextants and some are C. Plath sextants.  The Cassens and Plath
    would have a circle at the center of the brass frame connecting the arc
    to the pivot of the index arm.  The C. Plath would have a frame
    composed of a series of rectangles, with no circles.
