MAny Ham Radio Radio operators use software to control there TNC's (terminal
node controller) A device which interfaces the radio to the computer. Most
TNC software is cheap and readily available through Ham outlets ( try Amatuer
Electronic Supply ) they have 800 numbers in several cities, but I dont have
    the numbers handy.

THese programs have several modes usually including a fax mode. I have used
mine to receive weather fax. Also schedules and frequencies can be found in
Ocean Voyager ( annually issued bu Ocean Navigator Magazine)
