I've seen this several times, although without a ship's name.
BUT -- this article makes a classic mistake in defining the start of a new century.
Because there was no year zero, the first century actually ran from 1 to 100, the second century from 101 to 200, etc. So 19th century ran through 1900 and didn't end with 1899 as the article claims....
