Hello all, I've just joined this exciting list and have a Math question.

I'm going through "Sextant And Its Applications" by W.H. Simms and have question about one derivation on Page 5. On this page, there is a section where he replaces sinOpO' by angle OpO' * sin 1" because OO' is small compared to O'p. Is sin 1" his version of the small angle approximation?

    Regards,

    Alexander Castro
