    Hi:

I was quite surprised at the accuracy achieved at such a small angle. Amazingly good......maybe because my HoE was small. Your sight reduction completely agrees with mine.

Have a warm California day. i hope you are not near any major fires. The drought and fire hazard is so severe; very scary. Your sextant performs perfectly...so satisfied.

In a little while I'm going to a meeting at the Cape Cod National Seashore. The purpose of the forum is to discuss ongoing research and monitoring.  One of the major issues is dune erosion on the Atlantic Ocean/Great Beach side. In some places houses are being moved back or sliding down the dunes. These are "remnant"/grandfathered homes within the Park. I'm hoping to get involved with some educational surveying activities for kids. You know....first start with tapes, turn a few angles, get position with CN, use total station, and then the Park Service has all of the "latest and greatest" equipment coupled to their computers and USGS.  Might be fun and could be helpful to kids. Probably will need a minimum age of 12 or so. Must talk to Rangers...maybe this will go nowhere.

    Take care

    Bruce
