I did get up to see it. This photo was taken here in Florida by an AAC member. http://www.floridastars.org/venjupappulse.html -----Original Message----- From: Navigation Mailing List [mailto:NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM] On Behalf Of Michael Dorl Sent: Friday, November 05, 2004 9:48 AM To: NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM Subject: Re: Venus meets Jupiter (was: mouth-watering discussion about fish) > > >As for Venus and Jupiter, during these 24 hours they will be passing very >close to each other in the pre-dawn sky. Both are very bright, and it >should be quite pretty. If you're awake at 0500, take a look. They were spectacular this AM. It's been cloudy here so I haven't been able to watch the progression. Last time I saw them, Jupiter was 3 degrees from Venus, below and North. This AM Jupiter was 45" away from Venus by my calculation (just about 1.5 Sun diameters) above and south of Venus. Well worth it!
