Here is a daytime shot of Venus from a known position.With this shot i stood at the waters edge for a 6.4 ft height of eye and was shooting onto a true horizon.
Known position = 36.485 South 174.481 East
Height of eye = 6'4"
GMT=31/08/2010 02h 46m 03sec
IC=2.6 (+)
Hs=64.312
So with a known position & height of eye plus using a more reliable true horizon other Nav List members may get results very close to what i present here.
On the plotting sheet i provide data from the nautical almanac,NP:401(3) plus a print out of Navigator - www.tecepe.com.br/nav software outputs.
Kind Regards Paul W Jackson.
