"Just type ‘Sunset’ into Google"
Type?! Let's find out if your phone is set up properly with the Google app. Wake up your phone and say, "OK Google". If it vibrates briefly, immediately say, "What time is sunset on May 1st?" Does it answer you? Though it seems a cheat, this is by far my favorite way to track the changing time of sunset and to decide when the chickens will be ready to roost. I don't care about specific definitions (sun center at true horizon, sun center on theoretical sea horizon, sun upper limb below actual sea horizon, etc.), and neither do the chickens.
