    Many such web pages are self-contained, with the calculations done in
    Javascript. What that means is that you can save the web page as a local file on
    disk (perhaps on a laptop), then run it later without connecting to the
    internet.
    
    The Great Circle calculator I referred to earlier on the NIMA website is like
