    Vacation-time Lunars
    From: Ed Popko
    Date: 2018 Feb 2, 13:32 -0800

On a recent winter escape to Central Florida, I had opportunities to shoot many moon-sun and moon-star lunars. Below are are some moon-sun shots. I'll post a second set with moon-Aldebaran and moon-Pollux shots.

I had better luck than I deserve and walked away with some techniques that made shooting lunars both easier and more accurate. For the cases below, I used Frank’s Lunars Calculator though I also worked them by the Bowditch-Thompson method and Frank’s ‘Lunars are Easy’ algorithms, both taught in his Lunars Workshop at Mystic Seaport.  The results were quite good.
