Robin,
I'm sorry, but I do not know the details on how the NA makes their adjustments for the GHA of the Sun, and I don't think it was ever specifically discussed on NavList, or I would remember it. For Celestial Tools I made up my own adjustment algorithm, which is not perfect, as it only duplicates the NA values for about 98.9% of the 8760 (8784) hours in a year. In a way, this is better for Celestial Tools, as I was given a mandate that it not be perfect - it should help the student find errors in him work, not do the work for him.
In an exchange with another NavList member, I drew some conclusions based on an example he provided. FWIW, I will forward it to you "off list" (sorry, Frank).

Can you give the details or point me toward previous posts on how the NA makes their adjustments for the GHA of the Sun? This I assume will then explain the background to Herbert's statement concerning what correct the interpolation formula should be,
