    Randall,

Try removing your glasses and focusing to the sharpest image then use white out to mark the scope. Use a sunspot or Moon crater to get a good focus.

    Using glasses when taking sights

Gentlemen, Does wearing glasses affect sextant readings? I use progressive or "no-line bifocals and I seem to nice changes in focus when I view through different areas of the glasses. Having my eye farther away from the scope also seems to make using "center field" more challenging. Is this my imagination? Should I have a pair of "single vision" lenses for sights? Should I remove glasses and re-focus?
