The problem, George, is that there are in fact a great many of these books available. There "may" be a monolithic, tell-it-all (and expensive) manual among them, but is that really what you're looking for? And you wrote: "Not that I've been trying to use Calc to do anything particularly exotic. But (for example) if you try using a spreadsheet to do any sort of recursion or accumulation, you soon find there are traps set to avoid "circular references"." Yes, circular references are bad. Maybe you could spell out what it is you're trying to do? There might be a simple solution, and it is apparent that there are plenty of people on NavList who can help. -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
