there used to be a means, whereby NavList participants could engage in independent email conversations. Do you know if that function still exists such that one could opt in or out of it

Frank disabled that function. He said at the time, that the system was somehow being abused (forgive me if that isn't the exact wording or intent)
I have used the private mailing system from time to time and found it to be useful. I would like to see it come back if at all possible. Perhaps if we knew what kinds of abuse was objectionable...
