    Re: Usefulnes of inspection tables

    Gary LaPook asked-
    | Regarding H.O. 214, I have seen it mentioned that a number of errors
    | had been found in these tables, is there a source for errata sheets?
    From George-
I have the British version, Hydrographic publcation HD 486 (IV), Tables of
computed altitude and azimuth, vol.IV, for latitudes 45 to 59 degrees.
This is the 1951 edition, which tells me that it was reproduced with
    permission from U S Hydrographic Office H O publication no 214.
It also says that the tables have been regrouped into six volumes, each
covering 15 degrees of latitude. Was there a HO 214 volume that covered 45
to 59, then, or did that coverage differ?
And it adds "The explanation has been completely rewritten to bring it into
line with current practice in the Royal Navy".
The list of errata is printed on page xvi, and a scan is attached here. A
listing of just the upper block appears on a pasted-in slip. I imagine that
the errors in the lower block might apply to an earlier edition.
