Thanks to Herbert Prinz for a penetrating analysis of the problem of calculating lunars, when the altitudes of the two bodies involved have not been measured. We now seem to be all in accord. Some misconceptions (mine in particular) have been dispelled, and my education has advanced somewhat. For which I am duly grateful, to all who contributed. Isn't email, and Nav-L in particular, a wonderful way of thrashing these matters out?
