    The study would have been far more credible if it had actually tracked the same subjects over many years as they aged, and observed a decline in navigation skill.  Instead it is a snapshot of a population that probably varies considerably in their comfort in playing computer games and their ability to relate them to real life.

    Navigation in this context refers to innate, unskilled navigation --the ability to travel through a set of obstacles and find your way back to your starting point without actually thinking about it-- nothing like the technical craft that we think of as navigation. Personally, I'm not convinced that the ability to play a video game of navigation is a reliable measure of any form of real world navigation...
