    Gary,

    The Trident 2 was tested between San Diego and Kwajalein. I can vouch for the 120 meter accuracy. Not bad for 25 year old stuff !

    The tracking ship I served on in the late 80's was the USS Point Loma AGDS-2 (aka USNS Point Barrow).

    Wow, 120 meter CEP!

    That means that you would have a 50% assurance of cracking a hardened missile silo with a 500 psi overpressure by use of a 3 kt device and a greater than 99% probability with an 80 kt device. As I pointed out in an earlier post, accuracy is every thing when you are tossing nukes.
