    Thank you, Vic, for being so helpful. The Snyder volume you mention is
    indeed one of the references given in Seldelmann's "Explanatory supplement
    to the Astronomical Almanac".
    
    So the open source code based on that might well give a clue, if the
    equations given in Seidelmann do indeed contain any errors.
