    It's within about 50 meters of the results from the online National
    Geodetic Survey calculator:

               Latitude           Longitude      Datum
     INPUT =   N400000.0          W0900000.0     NAD27
     =======================================================

      NORTH(Y)    EAST(X)     ZONE  CONVERGENCE   SCALE
      METERS      METERS            DD MM SS.ss
      ----------- ----------- ----  -----------   ----------
      4431859.132  756106.378   15    1 55 45.88   1.00040753

    The UTM calculator is here:
    http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/TOOLS/utm.html

    To get the Clarke ellipsoid, you have to select NAD27 datum. Also, for
    a point on the edge of a zone, the calculator will give its UTM coords
    for both zones.
