While doing hard time at anchor in Prisoners Harbor earlier this week a low altitude morning sunrise lower limb observation of the Sun was made from the cockpit using a Cassens & Plath whole horizon with a 4x40mm scope. The only observational issue was a bright glare on the horizon that required shading. Sight reduction was done by Pub 229 and the Nautical Almanac was used to get GHA, declination, and perform all Hs corrections including temperature and pressure by table A4.

P.S. The BBQ and beverages were delicious. How did the chef time those steaks so well ;-)
