Re: Two weeks to Mystic "Navigation Weekend"

There is a special feature of the prismatic circle that can only be demonstrated during the early morning lunar shoot at Eastern Point in Groton but not during the noon session on the grounds of the Mystic Museum. I will talk about this feature during the formal presentation, but nothing beats an actual demonstration for clarity of explanation.

It has to do with the lunar distance itself. There is a range of angles at which the prismatic circle affords special checking. The morning session lunar distance is just within that range, but the noon session lunar distance is just outside that range.

Its just the luck of the draw as to scheduled times. Frank could not have known or predicted this. Therefore, if it is possible for you to make it to the early AM shoot, I would make it my business to be there to see this feature

    Best Regards
    Brad Morris
