Hi, Have a look at:- http://www.g4osj.freeserve.co.uk/Electrical%20Diagrams.html I have placed a circuit of the Mk IX sextants up there, including the battery eliminator which is a resistance network to reduce the aircraft supply from either 12 or 24 volts down to the 3 volts which is the bulb voltage. I have not so far been able to source any of these bulbs by the way! So do take care of yours. The mounting for the case does not have any electrical function, they are just hanging hooks for stowage by the way. If you can reduce the bubble to zero you do not have a problem .However, if you cannot then you will have to investigate re filling the chamber. Easy enough. Regards, Paul. The insulation seems to be almost non-existant and I'm positive it would short out. There is a hole in the insert to permit the removal of a screw & washer to handle 'other voltages'?? There is also a battery of Dutch manufacture but it is flat and there are no notations of voltage. I have spare bulbs but there are no indications of voltage etc. I'm sure you will have already solved the problem of providing light for night use? >The only other problem I see is making the bubble smaller. >I hope this finds you - - I'm starting to run out of time!!! > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ NavList message boards: www.fer3.com/arc Or post by email to: NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList+@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
