    For anyone interested in these, you can also replace .es in these URLs by 
    .com. Of course the book itself is in Spanish, but the search and reading 
    controls are then in English. The book id's do not change.
    These volumes were written by Mendoza y Rios at an early date in his career 
    before he had become one of the top experts in nautical astronomy in all of 
    Europe, but they are still a goldmine of useful information from the late 
    18th century.
    A few years ago, I drove over six hours and spent the day in a rare books room 
    at Urbana, Illinios to read some parts of this "Tratado". Now anyone on Earth 
    with a decent Internet connection can read them from their own homes.
