Hi George

I have received a much better image of 4May1916 thru 6May1916.  This changes 
most of the characters from illegible to legible.  There are still a few 
outliers.  The updated log, now revision 2.0 (I had to pick a number, I liked 
"two") is linked. 

I have also looked carefully at Worsley's note about the direction and 
distance to Bird Island, Wallis Island and etc.  There is no question that he 
calculates this via traverse tables or (not in the logbook) calculation.  My 
spreadsheet matches his numbers precisely, when performing this by my 1849 
copy of Bowditch.  This piece of the puzzle is resolved.  I can post the 
spreadsheet if there is interest.
