We sailed the Carribean on a crewed Cat last month. The skipper (23 years old, mind you), whipped out his iPad and piloted from there. Extraordinary. He let me navigate a passage thru some unmarked reefs using the program. It's so user friendly that one might be lulled into a grounding if something was wrong, but you think- How can this be in error? It's so CLEAR. I can't remember the name of program- iNAVX? It's 50 bucks. Can you imagine? Well, just wait till that asteroid wipes out a bunch of satellites- Then you guys will be HEROS. Sort of like Ham Radio, no? I can't wait to be able to join your ranks. Getting close. Have lots of questions, but I know where to go (but not where I am).
