An idea for the slide rule charaters font and the cursor:

    • the cursor could be a semi-convex cylindrical lens which serves two purposes - a more comfortable reading, and, (as I think) a possibility to make denser, more informative labels.

Consider a "horisontal preemphasis" for text characters (i.e. shrinking their width along the scale while keeping their height comfortable for naked eye) which is accounted for by the lens's astigmatism making characters looking "normal width" (i.e. "horisontal deemphasis"). This way more labels could be placed on the critical parts of the scale.

    Please comment.

    Regards,

    Tony
