U.S. Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jonathan Greenert has issued his Navigation Plan for the period 2015-2019.
Focusing on cutting-edge naval technologies designed to counter modern threats, this plan nonetheless features a sextant on each page. See attachment.

P.S. I have heard, but not confirmed, that the U.S. Naval Academy has resumed instruction in celestial navigation. To be confirmed.
