    Towson's tables?
    From: David C

Is anyone able to give me information about Towson? I have seen several references to "Towson" and from the context infer that they are a set of log/trig tables, maybe seven figure. I thought that I had seen a reference in Sadler's  history of his time at HMNO but could not find it. I also searched Burton's description of the preparation of his tables but also could not find it.

I googled "towson" without success. The search was complicated  by the existance of a university of that name. And of course adding the word "tables" to a search gave me links to shops that sell things with legs.
