Set up in my driveway. A trash can lid lined with a black trash bag. Just enough water to get a full free surface. Didn't stretch the bag tight; the wrinkles help damp things out. Because of trees, I have to chase a clear view of the sun. The rolling cart holds the Astra, the Davis Master, the radio clock, and notebook. Beach chair seems to work for me. IE of Davis 23', of Astra 0.7'. Average error for Davis=-0.6', stdev=1.0. Astra error=7.6', stdev=1.5'. Still trying to figure that out! The Davis is SO much lighter.
